Heres the deal. Im having a huge anxiety/panic attack over this. I read an article about a 10 year old african american boy who “dry drowned” meaning water got in his lungs after he went swimming for the first time in his life and he died in like a day.
Heres where i am scared…I know this might b dumb and stupid…but for some reason..im afriad of drinking water and eating food because of it somehow getting in my lungs.. Im hoping you guys can reassure me on how that kid got it and that if i do eat or drink water (BTW I DO DRINK WATER when i get really thirsty but thats it) that it wont give me this dry drowning conditon. BASICALLY i was wondering how this kid somehow got this and that if idrink water while breathing in that it will go to my lungs and i will die =(. Currently, when i drink water, i breath out and then drink water, breath out, drink water, just 2 be “safe”. Please guys, its making me scared whenever i eat or drink and that obviously happens a lot!! im gonna cry ;(
thanks Andy M. You seriously helped me put my mind at ease a bit, i dunt no why, but for SOMEr eason i just want some more assurance from other people..maybe because my mom and dad never try to really help. Honestly the only reason i have panic attacks and stuff is because my parents always say that NOTHING is wrong with me, but im afriad that one day something might be wrong with me and they will shove it off and i will die…its a huge fear of mine to die. BUT what you said, definitely makes a lot of sense.
AND ONE MORE QUESTION: is it possible for the throat to spasm like what happened to the boy on its own or did that only happen because the water got stuck thier and he wasnt sure what to do ro whatever.
