You need a partner who can understand you and know that you have depression. A partner that know how you feel and what you need. Beside that, the main thing is you need to continue to take medication and go to therapy it's very helpful. I have depression for 2 1/2 years already, things getting hard and frustrated at the first time , and when you getting better you will see the difference.

It's possible that you may have bipolar traits which means your "depression" may get better and worse over time. It is not always rapid cycling as "seen on tv". What someone said about not all meds working for all people is true however people place unrealistic expectations on meds partially because of the way they are marketed. There is no such thing as a pill that will make you happy all the time. Most anti-depression meds act as a snubber to control extreme highs and lows. Personally I also believe that medication without therapy is pretty much pointless. Until you re-train your mental process, medicating it will be of little use.
Be well and best of luck to you.

Actually your fantasies will be gone when your depression is gone . You cant have one without the other so you may as well keep trying to be in love and be blessed in that special way. The depression is bearable when you see it brings joy too. The depression will wear off as time passes and fantasies disappear.

yes, sounds like depression to me. although your medicine didn't work for you, there are many different medicines out there, and some work for some people and others don't. i currently take paxil cr myself, and it works great for me, but i tried many different medicines that didn't work at all or kinda freaked me out more before i tried paxil. what you need to do is goto your doc and tell them it didn't work for you, you can tell them how you feel, etc. sometimes talking to a shrink really helps. i found that it really depends on the doctor and the phych to tell you the truth. your current relationship might not be so great, and im not an expert on that, but you do whatcha gotta do. although i will say that getting out of a relationship can cause alot of depression(i know from expieriance). different things depress people in different ways, and everyone is different! lol the best thing i can suggest, is try different meds, try to be as stress free as possible, start slowing down in your life(cook instead of fast food, drive slower, enjoy nature, walk in the park, take notice to things you never did before, etc.), its hard but its a goal, and its always good to have goals in our lives. cheer yourself up anyway you can. watch comedies, make new friends, go do something you've never done before, go on a vacation, etc!

good luck to you, im sure you'll do fine. :0)
