There is a lot of increased stress during the holidays…be it finacial, family, or loneliness…sometimes it is too much for one to handle and without help can often lead to suicide.
I also wonder why the police there let your friend fall. I am a cop and my fellow officers as for myself are very professional. We would not want the same to happen to our family and friends. The best for you is to remember your friend for who he was and not for what happened.

I can only guess at the extra pressures of Christmas. Mothers feeling they do all the work with no appreciation.

Sorry to hear about your friend. Please try to talk to a professional mental health or social worker about what happened. Tramatic events take a toll on us without us even being aware of them. Get it out in the open and try to understand that people have moments of weakness and do not think with clarity. my best to you.
