Even men need some progesterone- about 1/2 of what women need, and it is produced in the testicular and adrenal tissues (in men). Men, too, can suffer from “Estrogen Dominance” symptoms just like women, because of all the foreign estrogens and xenoestrogens in our environment (like in our food, our water, plastics, etc…) and the effects of excess stress hormones on the body. Impaired liver function can also be a contributor. So, progesterone helps to correct the effects of excess estrogen.

This is crap… I’m a male who has been suffering from Panic Attacks since 1993. Now age 40 I don’t see how female hormones, PMS & ovulation cycles could affect me. I’ve had my testosterone levels checked a few years ago and they were above normal range. Dr. Hotze is full of shit..

So is he saying that taking a hormone is different from taking meds? The hormone isnt being produced by the body. I think if anything, the body is immensely inteligent and doesnt just stop producing something that is needed. Like most doctors he seems to think that nature needs help,, and that is fucked up.

I love how everyone here talks like their a doctor. This man has founded a clinic and successfully thousands of patients, and were supposed to listen to people on youtube saying hes full of crap? LOL what a joke.

  18. heightboosting says:

but how do we cure hormonal imbalance?? how do we control it??

  19. robsang says:

I can understand what you’re saying too. I don’t think that hormones are the ONLY cause and answer. It’s worth investigating though…which you obviously have. If a person can’t find a physical reason for anxiety, then accepting and desensitizing may be all that is left. Some people, however, may be lucky enough to find a physical connection and get significant relief. So, I guess the video is not crazy and neither are you.

  21. robsang says:

Exogenous stress is a factor for everyone to deal with, however, if you still feel anxiety after taking steps to reduce exogenous stress, look on the inside…have your hormones tested.
Lose the stigma…it’s not always just in your head.

  22. robsang says:

I was also diagnosed with very slight hypothyroidism that doctors didn’t feel needed treatment. Once I started progesterone, I felt much, much better. Later, I learned that progesterone helps regulates the thyroid. I can certainly understand how full-on hypothyroidism could cause major anxiety. In that case a person would probably need to take thyroid hormone and depending on age and hormone tests may also need progesterone. I have an older friend who takes both and is much relieved.

Actually hormones def effect panic.. My mom had hypothyroidism and it gave her crazy anxiety.

  24. tomgunc says:

This Video is crazy, Panic has nothing to do with an imbalance hormones. It’s all about what is going on inside of your mind and how we interpret what is happening to us. If we feel dizzy we think oh no this must mean I am going to faint. My heart is going 158 this must mean death and nothing more. Negative messages and self talk like that is what makes the anxiety attack turn into a full blown panic attack. Accepting panic symptoms, feelings is a sure way to get desensitized and live your life.
