Withdrawl symptoms from benzidiazopenes ( such as xanax) can be awful, and sometimes require medical detox. Cutting back on the dose gradually can be helpful, but addicts being addicts, dont always respond to that well, expecially if they are the ones in possession of the drugs to begin with. The withdrawl symptom can range from abdominal and body cramps, nausea, flu like symptoms ( hot/cold body aches) headaches. Its really best to consult a physician for the best method of treatment.

I haven’t known anyone that was addicted to Xanax and has gone off of them but I would amagine the withdrawls would be just as bad as with any other pain medicine,ect that peopel get hooked on and get off of.
It can get pretty bad–shaking,throwing up,ect.
I have seen my mom go threw withdrawls from pain killers, it isn’t a pretty site and my step-dad had to take her to the hospital because she got so ill from it.
