Could be the beginning of one, but it just sounds like you’re way too overwhelmed with stress. With a real panic attack, your heart-rate will go up dramatically, you will be shaking all over, and you will have a feeling of impending doom or that you’re going to die. I used to get panic attacks all the time and at the worst ones, I was so scared that I was actually having a heart attack.
I’ve felt the same way and yes it’s a panic attack but you should get a checkup just to rule anything else out. Be honest with the doctor and let him/her know everything that’s bothering you. If you’ve been under a lot of stress, you can experience what some people call a “nervous breakdown” but I call it an anxiety/panic attack. Your doctor should be able to help you with medications…as for me I go jogging or walking or workout to relieve stress. I also have people I can vent to and release stress as well. My panic attacks have gone down considerably.
It could be a few things: lightheadedness from heat/ lack of heat, stress, too much caffiene/or too little if you haven’t had as much as ususal (ie withdrawal symptoms), check your sugar levels, and your blood pressure.
What it comes down to is this do NOT have your regular physician offer you samples of an antianxiety med because they are NOT trained in that field. However, they may suggest AFTER checking any and all medical symptoms (and you checking your dietary intake) to have an pychological/pyschiatric assessment. At that point is when it will be determined if it is panic attacks. But you may be surprised, it could be something all together different.
